Responsibilities

• Operate the POS system to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized sales counter area.
• Demonstrate in-depth product knowledge to help customers make informed decisions.
• Handle cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision.
• Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive shopping environment.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in warehouse operations for shipping and receiving when needed.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of retail or customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• HVAC knowledge preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
• Proficiency in operating Point of Sale (POS) systems
• In-depth product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn about our product line
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly and supportive attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
• Basic computer skills and attention to detail
• Team player with a collaborative mindset
• Problem-solving skills to address customer concerns effectively
• Inventory management skills
• Willingness to become forklift certified (training provided)
• Regular attendance and punctuality are vital for success in this role
