NorthEast Electrical in Amesbury, MA is seeking a full-time Counter Sales Associate to join the team. The role includes taking orders by phone and in person, assisting customers, and keeping the showroom organized.

You should have strong Excel and computer skills, solid customer service abilities, and the capability to work well in a team; lifting up to 75 lbs is required.

• Strong customer service/communication skills; electrical or construction experience is helpful.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changes.
• Dependable and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a team setting.
• Frequent ability to lift and/or move up to 75lbs using manual and PIT equipment.

Responsibilities

• Taking orders over the phone, in person, and via our Digital Tools.
• Entering stock, special, direct, and back orders as required.
• Providing customers with information and demonstration of our online ordering solution.
• Providing support to the Branch Manager in transferring, warehousing, receiving, and shipping of stock and special material.
• Display and stock material in counter and showroom; participate in promotions.
• Performing other duties as required or directed by Manager.

Shift: Monday-Friday 8AM to 5PM

Salary Range: $22 per hour, plus commission

A Counter Sales Rep at NorthEast Electrical is the ideal position for a person who has a passion for taking care of customers. As a Counter Sales Representative, you will provide retail and professional customers with a high level of customer service; as well as maintaining the appearance of the store and ensuring it is displayed in a clean and organized manner.

What a typical day looks like in this role:

• Taking orders over the phone, in person, and via our Digital Tools.

• Providing customers with information and demonstration of our online solution for fast and easy ordering through our website.
• Providing support to the Branch Manager in the transferring, warehousing, receiving, and shipping of stock and special material.
• Display and stock material in counter and show room. Participate in promotions as they occur.
• Performing other duties as required or directed by Manager.
