Job summary

United Supply, a Rheem company, is seeking an HVAC Counter Salesperson for our Perth Amboy, NJ branch. You will assist customer accounts, prospect for new business, and grow existing accounts while delivering exceptional support.

This full-time role operates on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with weekends free. Pay ranges from $22.00 to $29.00 per hour and benefits include 401(k), health coverage, life insurance, PTO, holidays, referral program, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service, effective listening, communication (verbal and written) and negotiation skills.
• Technical knowledge of company products and ability to explain features.

Responsibilities

• Work with outside sales to meet customer needs.
• Update orders, coordinate deliveries with warehouse, answer sales inquiries.
• Take sales orders, provide timely quotations and process orders accurately.
• Order items to fulfill customer orders as needed.
• Make outbound calls for new promotions and follow up on sales opportunities.
• Assist with inventory management and stocking.
• Learn product knowledge relevant to customer base.
• Participate in training offered by vendors or in-house.
• Provide feedback on business information and processes.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

We are looking for an HVAC Counter Salesperson contributes to company growth and profitability by assisting customer accounts at our Perth Amboy, NJ branch. You will be responsible for prospecting for new accounts and growing existing accounts by uncovering additional sales opportunities, as well as, providing excellent customer support to our existing accounts.

Job Type: First Shift -Full-time, Monday to Friday - keep your weekends for you!

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour

• Work together with outside sales associates to ensure our customer's needs are met.
• Updating customer orders, coordinate deliveries with the warehouse and answer sales calls for general inquires.
• Take customer sales orders and provide timely quotations and accurate order processing.
• Order items as necessary to fulfill customer orders.
• Make outbound calls to customers who are eligible for new promotions and follow up on potential sales.
• Assisting with inventory management and stocking of the shelves.
• Gaining knowledge of the products that we sell to our customers.
• Actively participates in training either in house or events offered by our vendors.
