Job summary

Off Track Pizza in Portland, ME is seeking a friendly counter helper to greet guests, take orders, and ensure a welcoming, efficient dining experience.

This hourly role starts at $18+ per hour plus tips. You will handle dine-in, takeout, and delivery orders with our POS system, process payments, and help keep the front of house clean and stocked. Training is provided, and opportunities for growth exist.

Off Track Pizza, a slice shop in the old port is looking for counter help! We are a busy, neighborhood pizza shop dedicated to serving the highest quality pies and providing an outstanding customer experience. We are looking for an energetic, friendly team member to be the welcoming face of our restaurant!

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly as they walk in or call on the phone. Provide excellent hospitality and answer menu questions.
• Order Management: Take accurate dine-in, takeout, and delivery orders using our POS system.
• Cash Handling: Process payments, handle cash, and balance the register.
• Order Assembly: Package orders, check for accuracy (ensuring all sides and drinks are included), and hand them to guests.
• Shop Maintenance: Help keep the front counter, dining area, and drink stations clean, sanitized, and fully stocked.
• Kitchen Assistance: Assist with light kitchen prep (like boxing pizzas or making salads) and support the back-of-house team during busy rushes.

Qualifications
