Job summary

SimIS Inc. is seeking a Counter-Drone & Counter-IED Analyst to support the development of Counter-Uncrewed Systems and Counter-IED related capability products across DOTMLPFI, engaging with C-UXS/C-IED stakeholders from strategic to tactical levels.

The role requires 5–10 years in C-UXS/C-IED functions and 5–10 years in programme/project management within military contexts; PMP is desirable. Onsite in Norfolk, with a focus on multinational collaboration and defense sector standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering, information systems, or related disciplines with 10 years of experience acceptable with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Ten years of experience in C-UXS/C-IED functions at Tactical, Operational, or Strategic levels.
• 5–10 years of Programme/Project Management experience in military capability development; PMP desirable.
• 5–10 years of multinational organization experience (e.g., NATO) and familiarity with NATO agencies’ role in system development.
• 5–10 years of experience briefing senior leaders/decision makers.

Responsibilities

• Support DOTMLPFI-related projects as required by the JE Capabilities Programme Director and the COTR.
• Assist with elicitation, capture, development, analysis, evaluation and traceability of capability requirements.
• Help develop, analyze and review C-UXS/C-IED doctrinal corpus and related directives.
• Coordinate DOTMLPFI development and implementation synchronization; propose courses of action to resolve capability development issues.
• Coordinate across lifecycles to ensure interoperability and system integration.

Job Description:

SimIS, Inc. is seeking contract support for a Joint Enabling Capabilities Programme Director for Counter Terrorism/Force Protection (CT/FP) programme management efforts, including the interaction with C-UXS/C-IED stakeholders at all levels, from strategic to tactical. To support our customer, SimIS, Inc. seeks a Counter-Drone & Counter-IED Analyst to support to the development of Counter-Uncrewed Systems and Counter-Improvised Explosive Devices (C-UXS/C-IED) related capability products across Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership, Personnel, Facilities and Interoperability (DOTMLPFI) lines of development in a life cycle approach.

Experience Required:

• Master’s degree in engineering, information systems, aeronautics, operations research, project management, business administration or related disciplines. Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience acceptable.
• Ten (10) years of experience in C-UXS/C-IED functions at Tactical, Operational, or Strategic levels (e.g. C-UAS SO or Cell Lead; Counter-Threat/Force Protection SO, C-IED Team/Cell in Joint HQ).
• 5-10 years of Programme/Project Management experience within a complex and dynamic environment, with a focus on military capability development. PMP certification is desirable.
• 5-10 years of experience working in a multinational organization (e.g., a NATO Command, a National military component within NATO Force Structure) and familiarity with NATO agencies’ role in system development.
• 5-10 years of experience briefing senior leaders/decision makers.

Responsibilities:

• Support C-UXS/C-IED- related projects (e.g. ACT Layered C-UAS Initiative-X /LCI-X Beacon Project) as required by JE Capabilities Programme Director and the COTR.
• Support the elicitation, capture, development, analysis, evaluation and traceability of capability requirements.
• Support the elicitation, capture, development, analysis, evaluation and traceability of higher and lower-level requirements (such as capability targets, operational requirements, system specifications, interoperability requirements, etc.) across all aspects of DOTMLPFI.
• Support the development, analysis and review of C-UXS/C-IED related doctrinal corpus (e.g. policies, doctrines, directives concepts of operation/employment, courses of action and alternatives).
• Coordinate DOTMLPFI development and implementation synchronization; support the development of recommended courses of action to resolve issues relating capability development, across the capabilities lifecycles..
