Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring for a Warehouse Counter in Hazelwood, MO. The role supports inventory accuracy with daily cycle counts, damage reporting, and data entry while following safety protocols.

The position works Monday through Friday on 2nd and 3rd shifts and includes extensive benefits after 60 days. The role requires basic reading/writing in English, HS diploma or GED, and attention to detail. It offers long-term growth in a fast-paced distribution environment with a strong team

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks.
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections.
• Able to work Monday–Friday, 2nd/3rd shift and maintain safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily location cycle counts and daily local purchase counts.
• Perform daily damage reporting and data sheet entry.
• Carry out critical counts/shorts and address warehouse out of stocks.
• Compile and submit daily out of stock/ship confirmation reports.
• Verify bill of lading and receiving quantity.
• Perform additional duties and/or special projects as assigned.

The Cycle Counter I provides timely and accurate accounting of inventory while obtaining product based on need.

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour.

• Monday-Friday 2nd and 3rd shift.

What you’ll do as a Warehouse Counter:

• Conduct daily location cycle counts and daily local purchase counts.
• Perform daily damage reporting and data sheet entry.
• Perform critical counts/shorts and warehouse out of stocks.

• Additional duties and/or special projects may be assigned at the position supervisor's discretion.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a Warehouse Teammate:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
