Job summary

Ameristar Black Hawk Casino Resort & Spa is seeking a Count Room Manager to lead the Count Room team, safeguard currency, and ensure accurate cash handling in a fast-paced gaming environment. You will hire, train, and mentor staff, enforce internal controls, coordinate with Cage and Revenue Audit, and maintain confidentiality while supporting regulatory compliance.

This role requires strong organizational skills, physical stamina for lifting and standing, and the ability to work varying shifts

Qualifications

• Management experience required.
• Casino operations experience preferred.
• Familiar with gaming regulations regarding count room operations.
• Able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Gaming License.
• Physical ability to lift and transport up to 50 pounds multiple times in a shift.
• Excellent communication with coworkers and management.
• Knowledge of currency counting equipment and 10-key calculator.
• Confidentiality and professionalism required.

Responsibilities

• Actively build and retain customer relations and mentor employees to provide superior customer service.
• Hire, train, evaluate, motivate, and, when necessary, terminate Count Room personnel per policy.
• Protect currency and prevent loss with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ensure procedures and controls protect counted receipts.
• Maintain control over Count Room activity and security of currency.
• Schedule Count Room personnel and obtain signatures as required by the state gaming authority.
• Reconcile counts and transfer receipts to Cage and Revenue Audit daily.
• Comply with Internal Control Minimum Procedures and assist audits.
