Job summary

PENN Entertainment is seeking a Count Room/Cash Handling Associate in Ohio. The role involves collecting slot cash boxes, counting currency, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and state regulations. Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to read/write in English.
• Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages).
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
• Must be able to be licensed by the Ohio Gaming Commission.

Responsibilities

• Collect slot cash boxes from the gaming floor and count in the count room.
• Deliver Red Carpet Customer Service.
• Replace cash boxes in slots following Internal Controls and Ohio Gaming Regulations.
• Transport cash boxes to the Count Room along predefined routes.
• Ensure key control procedures are followed.
• Operate currency counting equipment and process tickets/currency.
• Prepare Cash Storage Box reports with supporting documentation.
• Package currency and tickets into predetermined amounts for later use or deposit.
• Transport verified tickets/currency to Main Bank and ticket storage area within regulations.
• Maintain count room equipment and cleanliness daily.
• Collaborate with other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collecting slot cash boxes from the gaming floor and the subsequent cash and ticket count conducted in the count room in order to assist in reaching profitability and compliance goals
• Delivering Red Carpet Customer Service
• Removing cash boxes from slot machine and replace with empty cash box using procedures that are within Internal Controls and Ohio State Gaming Regulations
• Transporting all collected cash boxes to the Count Room following predetermined route
• Ensuring key control procedures are followed
• Operating automated currency equipment to count and process tickets/currency removed from the cash boxes
• Preparing Cash Storage Box Report with supporting documentation obtained from the counting of the cash boxes
• Packaging currency and tickets/currency into predetermined amounts for later use or deposit
• Transporting the verified tickets/currency to the Main Bank and ticket storage area within Internal Controls and Ohio State Gaming Regulations
• Completing daily maintenance of all count room equipment and cleaning of count room
• Work professionally with other departments as needed to complete tasks
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or six months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Basic computer knowledge
• Must be able to read and write in English and have good verbal communicating skillsBasic math skills such as adding, subtracting, fractions, decimals, percentages etc.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Must be able to be licensed by the Ohio Gaming Commission
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear
• Required to stand; walk; and use of hands and fingers, handle, or feel.
• Occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.
