Job summary

Spero Health is seeking a licensed Counselor or Social Worker to join our integrated care team. The role supports patients across counseling, case management and medically assisted treatment, emphasizing whole-person care within an integrated setting.

You will conduct initial assessments, provide evidence-based counseling, educate patients, and help them set realistic goals while ensuring HIPAA CFR 42 Part 2 compliance and participating in required trainings within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral health field; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 1 year full-time human-services experience or a Master’s in behavioral science.
• Licensed as LMHC, LMHCA, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, LCAC, or LAC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessment and ongoing patient care.
• Provide counseling to patients through evidenced-based practice.
• Provide patient education.
• Ensure accountability of treatment program and patient compliance through collaboration.
• Assist patients in creating realistic goals toward achieving freedom from addiction.

Requirements

LICENSED COUNSELOR/SOCIAL WORKER EDUCATION:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in behavioral health field. Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of full-time employment/internship working in a human-services setting OR Master's Degree in behavioral science, as defined above.
• License: LMHC, LMHCA, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, LCAC, LAC

Spero Health will provide the following training required for HIOP programs, all of which must be completed within the first 90 days of employment:

CPR Certification, Basic First Aid, Narcan Administration and De-Escalation Training
