Pinnacle Treatment Centers is seeking a Counselor Assistant/Intern to provide comprehensive psychological therapy under supervision, addressing causes and effects of addiction. The role supports patient care, documentation, and program orientation.

Responsibilities include completing intake and assessments, facilitating group sessions, and coordinating referrals. Qualified candidates pursue CADC/NBCB certifications while advancing within a supportive, benefit-rich environment.

Formación

• GED / high school diploma or higher.
• Certified as a Counselor in Training (CCIT) within 90 days of hire.
• Full certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I or higher) through ADACBGA or as NBCC within three years of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure completion of patient databases, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and other essential documentation per standards.
• Provide patients with orientation regarding program objectives, phase system requirements, rules, sanctions, and hours of services.
• Assess and place each patient according to treatment phases in accordance with standards and policies.
• Ensure clinical documentation and patient charts are updated per established policies and procedures.
• Counsel patients in crisis by identifying resources and coping abilities.
• Arrange referrals to other agencies and resources when appropriate.
• Participate in case conferences and case reviews per policies.
• Develop knowledge of confidentiality, methadone treatment, and counseling certifications.
• Submit internal and external correspondence to supervisor for review and approval.
• Complete intakes and facilitate group counseling sessions.
• Collection and testing of urine/drug screening with proper chain of custody.
