Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Counselor role based in Bristol, VA. The Counselor will provide individual and, when appropriate, family or group counseling sessions, conducting initial assessments, developing treatment plans, and documenting client progress in a timely and accurate manner. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients, applying appropriate therapeutic interventions, maintaining confidential records, and collaborating with other team members or external providers to coordinate care. The role also involves monitoring client well‑being, adjusting treatment goals as needed, offering referrals to community resources, and participating in team meetings and case consultations. Counselors are expected to uphold ethical standards, follow organizational policies, and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive environment for all clients.
