Freedom Support Services, Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Part Time Fully Licensed Counselor to join our outpatient mental health practice in Christiansburg.

This in-person role supports collaboration within a team that values compassion and professional growth. The ideal candidate holds Virginia licensure as a Professional Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage & Family Therapist, a Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or MFT, and at least 3 years of full-time clinical experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-time experience in a clinical environment.
• Fully licensed in VA as Professional Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage & Family Therapist.
• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or MFT.
• Experience in Christiancounseling, couples & families, children & adolescents, or trauma.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional appearance and attitude in Telehealth and in-person interactions.
• Complete intake assessments and documentation (MSE, PHQ-9, GAD, CSSRS, etc.).
• Aim for ~18 hours weekly availability and ~15 billable hours weekly.
• Provide a minimum of 3 evening appointments weekly.
• Create and carry out treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
• Complete progress notes within 24 hours of service.
• Maintain client charts with complete documentation.
• Complete discharge summaries as required by insurance.
• Develop rapport to foster healthy professional relationships.
• Exercise sound clinical and professional judgment.

Job Summary

Freedom Support Services isseekinga dynamic and creative individual to join our team asPart Time Fully Licensed Counselor in Virginia. We are looking for a passionate person who fits our company culture. We are on the search for someone with a desire to be a part of a team environment and be a collaborative leader in the mental health space. This position is in-person in the Christiansburg, VA office. Freedom Support Services will support getting in front of insurance panels when taking this position.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in Telehealth interactions as well as on social media.
• Complete intake assessments which include documentation such as Mental Status Exams, Biopsychosocial, PHQ-9 or 2, GAD, CSSRS Risk Assessment, etc.
• Maintain an average of 18hours of availability per week with a goal of billing an average of 15 hours per week.
• Ability to offer a minimum of 3 evening appointments each week
• Effectively create and carry out treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
• Complete progress notes within 24hours of timeof service.
• Complete timesheet daily reflecting the billable hours worked.
• Maintain client’s charts and keep complete and correct documentation.
• Complete discharge summaries as required by insurance.
• Develop rapport with clientsin order tofacilitatea healthy professional relationship.
• Exercise sound clinical and professional judgment.

Requirements

• 3+ years offull timeexperience in a clinical environment
• Fully Licensed as a Professional Counselor, Social Worker, or Marriage & FamilyTherapist inthe State of Virginia
• MastersDegree in Counseling, Social Work or Marriage & Family Therapy
• Previousclinical experience in or in developing in one of thesespecialtyareas:Christiancounseling, couples & families, children & adolescents, or trauma.
• Professional Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, critical thinking, and ability to work collaboratively with other health care professionals.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills to manage caseload, appointments, and follow up
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Proven ability toidentifychallenges and provide effective solutions.

Preferences

• Experience providing Telehealth Services preferred
• Evidence ofpreviousexperience working with people from historically underserved and marginalized communities (race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, etc.)

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation startsat $42 per billable hour. based on licensurestatus, yearsof experience and performance.
