Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Counsel, Commercial Transactions to draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of customer-facing and strategic commercial agreements, focusing on SaaS, software licensing, cloud services, and AI-enabled offerings.

The role partners with Sales, Finance, Security, and other stakeholders to enable growth, manage risk, and scale contracting processes across the business. JD degree and US license are required.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Intelligence, flexibility, creativity, diligence, responsiveness, and strong communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer, procurement, strategic commercial negotiations, transactions, and technology-related legal work by drafting, reviewing and negotiating software, SaaS and hybrid, cloud services, AI-related offerings, and strategic partnership agreements.
• Provide legal advice and business counsel on commercial and operational legal issues, with timely and accurate responses and negotiations of high-volume contracts.
• Engage with customers to ensure they feel listened to and delivered for.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to standard forms and variations to enhance efficiency.
• Support strategic pricing initiatives and pricing governance projects.
• Participate in internal approvals workflow and respond to questions from stakeholders and clients.
• Proficient with AI tools, legal technology tools, MS Office, Salesforce, Ironclad.
