Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Counsel, Commercial Transactions to advise on SaaS, licensing, cloud services, and AI-related deals, partnering with Sales, Security, Finance, and Procurement to scale contracting processes and minimize risk.

The role requires a JD with active US bar admission and experience handling enterprise agreements, data processing, and AI-enabled products. This position offers hybrid remote work in the United States with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Four to six years of relevant experience in-house and/or at a law firm supporting technology transactions.
• Experience negotiating SaaS, software, cloud services, professional services, data processing, and enterprise commercial agreements.
• Experience supporting complex commercial contracting environments.
• Understanding of technology including legal tech, cloud services, software licensing models, information security and privacy.
• Experience supporting AI-enabled products and emerging technology issues.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Intelligence, flexibility, creativity, diligence, responsiveness, and strong communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer, procurement, strategic commercial negotiations and technology-related legal work by drafting, reviewing and negotiating software, SaaS and hybrid, cloud services, AI-related offerings, and strategic partnership agreements.
• Provide legal advice and business counsel on commercial and operational issues, negotiating a high volume of contracts with varied complexity.
• Engage with customers to ensure they feel heard and deliver.
• Suggest and implement process improvements, e.g., standard forms or variations for efficiency.
• Operate with AI legal tech tools to improve efficiency and adapt to new tools.
