Job summary

Relativity is seeking a Counsel for Commercial Transactions to draft, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of customer-facing agreements, with emphasis on SaaS, software licensing, cloud services, and AI-enabled offerings. You will partner with Sales, Security, Finance, and Ops to enable growth while managing risk.

The role involves advising internal stakeholders, streamlining contracting processes, and leveraging AI legal tech tools to increase efficiency.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Intelligence, flexibility, creativity, diligence, responsiveness, and strong communications skills.
• Experience negotiating SaaS, software, cloud services, professional services, data processing, and enterprise commercial agreements.
• Experience supporting AI-enabled products and emerging technology issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer, procurement, strategic commercial negotiations, and technology-related agreements, including SaaS, software, and cloud services.
• Provide legal advice and business counsel on commercial issues and a high-volume contract workflow.
• Engage with customers to ensure clear communication and delivery of results.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to standardize forms and align with product requirements.
• Leverage AI legal tech tools to improve efficiency and adapt to new tools.
• Support pricing governance projects and commercial model optimization with Finance and ops.
• Participate in internal approval workflows and manage stakeholder questions.
• Utilize MS Office, Salesforce, Ironclad, and other tools in daily work.
