Job summary

Solutus Legal Search represents a mission-driven cloud company seeking an attorney to serve as Counsel in their growing legal department in the United States. The role is an early member of the team, reporting to a Deputy General Counsel, with emphasis on vendor and technology agreements, SaaS licenses, and procurement contracts.

The ideal candidate will have a JD and at least five years negotiating and drafting commercial transactions, including procurement.

Qualifications

• JD with bar admission in your state
• At least five years of drafting and negotiating commercial transactions
• Experience supporting procurement agreements preferred
• Strong work ethic, growth mindset, and ability to manage multiple projects

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating vendor and procurement agreements including technology, SaaS, licenses, and other commercial contracts
• Collaborating with internal teams on governance, risk mitigation, and compliance
• Negotiating privacy, information security, regulatory, and data protection aspects of procurement agreements
• Advising on contract disputes arising from vendor agreements
• Developing procurement processes, templates, and playbooks for high-volume contracting
• Providing legal and strategic business advice aligned with internal policies
