Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Hawthorne, CA, seeks a Commercial Counsel to enable the company’s procurement of goods and services by providing legal review and solutions-based counseling to Supply Chain, Purchasing, Facilities and other cross‑functional partners in the United States and internationally.

The ideal candidate holds a JD, has 5+ years of legal experience, and brings experience in commercial procurement transactions, ideally with tech or manufacturing exposure.

Qualifications

• JD or foreign equivalent from an accredited law school.
• 5+ years of legal experience.
• Experience with commercial procurement transactions.
• Knowledge of export controls/ITAR is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review a range of commercial contracts.
• Identify and mitigate legal risk through processes and controls.
• Provide analyses of applicable laws, regulations, and industry practices related to procurement.
• Counsel Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Facilities throughout procurement lifecycle.
• Manage the company’s standard terms and conditions and form Purchase Orders.
• Improve procurement forms, policies, and processes, including AI usage.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze risks and advise management.
