Job summary

Easter n Health Group in Newport News, VA, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our resident-centered care team. Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN positions are available, offering flexible scheduling and meaningful daily work.

You will provide therapy under an OT, help residents regain independence, document care, collaborate with nurses and therapists, and participate in a supportive workplace culture focused on learning and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited COTA program.
• Current and valid COTA certification/licensure.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary rehab team.

Responsibilities

• Identify and address residents’ goals, needs, and functional limitations.
• Implement individualized treatment plans using therapeutic techniques and interventions.
• Provide quality, personalized, evidence-based care.
• Support residents in improving mobility and daily activities.
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, nursing, and other healthcare professionals.
• Complete accurate documentation of patient care and therapy services.
• Promote resident dignity, safety, independence, and quality of life.
