Nans Pointe Rehabilitation and Nursing in Suffolk, VA seeks a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for part-time or PRN roles. Provide individualized therapy under supervision to help residents regain function and independence.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active COTA license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• SNF/geriatric experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and address residents’ goals, needs, and functional limitations.
• Implement individualized treatment plans using appropriate therapeutic techniques and interventions.
• Provide quality, personalized, evidence-based care based on each resident’s abilities and goals.
• Support improvements in strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, mobility, and functional performance.
• Motivate and encourage residents throughout treatment to maximize participation and progress.
• Help residents develop skills and strategies to promote greater independence in daily activities.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on appropriate therapeutic techniques, adaptive strategies, and safety recommendations.
• Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, nursing, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and communicate resident progress and concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of patient care and therapy services.
• Promote resident dignity, safety, independence, and quality of life throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
