Job summary

Respiratory and Rehabilitation Center of Rhode Island is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. You will help patients regain independence and achieve their goals through individualized therapy plans.

As part of a collaborative care team, you will assist occupational therapists, conduct assessments, design interventions to improve daily living skills and cognitive function, and educate patients and families to support long-term independence.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patients' strengths, weaknesses, and needs.
• Design and implement occupational therapy interventions to improve activities of daily living and cognitive function.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and maintain accurate records.
• Educate and support patients, families, and caregivers to promote independence.
