Adept Nursing & Rehab of Ashland is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our therapy team on a part-time and PRN basis. You will support residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting, helping them regain independence and improve daily functioning.

Under supervision of a licensed OT, you will implement treatment plans, promote mobility and independence, and educate residents and families on therapy techniques.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited COTA program.
• Current state COTA license or eligibility to obtain.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.

Responsabilités

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the OT.
• Assist residents with therapeutic activities to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and independence.
• Provide training in activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, and bathing.
• Document resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team.
• Maintain a safe and supportive therapy environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident care plans.
• Educate residents and families on therapy techniques and adaptive equipment.
