Job summary

AED CONSTRUCTORES is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a Skilled Nursing Facility in Sunnyvale, California. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support geriatric patients in regaining independence with daily living activities after illness, injury, or surgery.

Qualifications

• Active state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in California.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum of 6 months of recent COTA experience within the last 5 years preferred.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Guide patients through therapeutic activities focused on improving daily living skills.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and proper use of equipment.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient progress.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
