Job summary

AED CONSTRUCTORES is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support patients in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Auburn, NY. You will work under an Occupational Therapist to help geriatric and post-acute patients regain independence in daily living activities.

Qualifications

• Active state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in California
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Minimum of 6 months of recent COTA experience within the last 5 years preferred
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric setting is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Guide patients through therapeutic activities focused on improving daily living skills
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and proper use of equipment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient progress
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards
