Job summary

AED CONSTRUCTORES is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Skilled Nursing Facility in La Mesa, CA. You will support geriatric patients under the supervision of a licensed OT to regain independence in daily living activities after illness or surgery.

This role emphasizes compassionate care, accurate documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and quality of life in an on-site facility.

Qualifications

• Active state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in California.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum of 6 months of recent COTA experience within the last 5 years preferred.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Guide patients through therapeutic activities focused on improving daily living skills
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and proper use of equipment
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient progress
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards
