Job summary

AED CONSTRUCTORES in Redding, California is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support geriatric patients in a Skilled Nursing Facility, under the supervision of an occupational therapist, to restore independence in daily living activities.

You will implement therapy plans, guide patients through activities, monitor progress, document outcomes, and educate caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment use, and safety, while ensuring compliance with facility

Qualifications

• Active state license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in California.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum of 6 months of COTA experience within the last 5 years (preferred).
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility or geriatric setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Guide patients through therapeutic activities focused on improving daily living skills.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and proper use of equipment.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatments and patient progress.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
