Job summary

Monte Vista Healthcare Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support the OT team in delivering individualized therapy plans to residents in a skilled nursing setting.

Responsibilities include administering therapeutic activities, documenting progress, and educating families on home programs while maintaining a safe, compliant, and collaborative care environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state licensure or certification as a COTA.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Administer therapeutic activities and exercises as prescribed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and report any changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
• Educate residents and their families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to residents.
