Job summary

Glendale-Post-Acute-Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support the Occupational Therapist in directing and administering therapy modalities for residents. You will assist with treatment plans, administer activities, monitor progress, and educate residents and families on home programs, while maintaining a safe and organized therapy environment.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team, uphold infection control standards, and participate in CQI activities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Current COTA licensure/certification.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and maintain attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Administer therapeutic activities and exercises as prescribed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Monitor and document residents' progress and report changes to the Occupational Therapist.
• Educate residents and families on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive resident care.
