Job summary

The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled rehabilitation team in Boca Raton, FL. The COTA will assist the licensed Occupational Therapist to enhance residents’ daily living skills and independence through individualized therapy plans.

We value teamwork, resident-centered care, and professional growth. A Florida C OTA license and prior SNF experience are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Active Florida COTA license in good standing.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehab center preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic interventions to help residents improve functional independence and daily living skills
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Accurately document treatments and resident responses in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
• Assist residents with activities related to mobility, self-care, coordination, strength, and adaptive techniques
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support positive resident outcomes
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
• Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and treatment goals as directed
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures
