Job summary

The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Under the direction of a licensed OT, you will help residents improve daily living skills, independence, and quality of life.

You’ll participate in implementing treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active Florida COTA license in good standing.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the OT in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve functional independence and daily living skills.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT.
• Document treatments and resident responses in the medical records.
• Assist residents with mobility, self-care, coordination, and strength tasks.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support resident outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
• Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and goals.
