Job summary

The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boca Raton, FL seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to support our rehabilitation team. You will work under a licensed OT to help residents improve daily living skills and independence.

Qualifications

• Active Florida COTA license in good standing.
• Previous experience in skilled nursing or rehab settings preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide interventions to improve functional independence and daily living skills.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervisor.
• Document treatments and responses in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Assist residents with mobility, self-care, coordination, and adaptive techniques.
• Collaborate with the care team to support positive resident outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy area.
• Educate residents and families about therapy goals as directed.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility policies.
