The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will work under the direction of a licensed OT to help residents improve daily living skills, independence, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Requires active Florida COTA license in good standing.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve functional independence and daily living skills.
• Monitor resident progress and report updates to the supervising OT.
• Document treatments and resident responses per facility and regulatory requirements.
• Assist residents with mobility, self-care, coordination, strength, and adaptive techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to support resident outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
• Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and goals.
