Job summary

The Legacy at Boca Raton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Boca Raton, FL. The COTA will work under a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents improve daily living skills, independence, and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing facility, rehabilitation center, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve functional independence and daily living skills.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT.
• Document treatments and resident responses in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
• Assist residents with mobility, self-care, coordination, strength, and adaptive techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support positive resident outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
• Educate residents and families regarding therapy programs and goals.
