Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a part-time days position. The role provides rehabilitative services under supervision of a licensed OT, supporting patients in daily living and mobility goals and contributing to care plans with accurate documentation.

Ideal candidates have 0-1 years of healthcare experience (1-2 years preferred) and hold COTA certification with BCLS. Comprehensive benefits, tuition assistance, and student loan support are included.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of healthcare experience required.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience in inpatient, outpatient, or skilled nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers occupational therapy treatment programs as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Observes patient response to treatment and reports changes to the supervising therapist.
• Conducts group or individual activity-based therapy sessions to support or maintain function.
• Documents treatments provided and patient response in the medical record with required co-signature.
• Maintains communication with therapists and rehabilitation team members to support coordinated care.
• Ensures treatment areas and equipment are clean, safe, and properly organized.
• Demonstrates understanding of therapeutic precautions and age-specific needs.
• Attends interdisciplinary team meetings and supports performance improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrates proficiency in electronic health records and therapy documentation software.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
