Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Qualifications

• Licensed by the Texas State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
• BCLS certification.
• Associates degree as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Preferred: 1–2 years of experience in a therapy setting; bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise patients in active and passive exercise programs and ADL training.
• Complete patient chart documentation including daily progress notes and charges.
• Supervise technicians, students and volunteers as assigned.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team on discharge plans and equipment needs.
• Assist with program development and quality improvement initiatives.
