Job summary

Nexushm is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to support an occupational therapy program under the supervision of a licensed OT. The COTA implements individualized treatment plans to promote independence in daily living activities, safety, and quality of life.

Responsibilities include planning and administering therapy, educating residents and families, and maintaining PCC/EHR documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of current treatment practices and therapy interventions.
• Familiarity with PCC or similar electronic documentation systems preferred.
• Ability to manage a diverse patient caseload while maintaining professionalism and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer treatment programs for residents to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions under supervision.
• Educate residents, families, and staff about therapy goals and outcomes.
• Demonstrate competent technical skills consistent with COTA standards of practice.
