Job summary

Life Care Center of Omaha is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to provide direct rehab care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The PRN position supports day shifts and requires NBCOT certification, state licensure, CPR, and an accredited OT education.

New grads are welcome to apply, and prior OT experience is preferred. The role emphasizes community health involvement and maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification required upon hire; renewal optional.
• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program (ASOT).
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable state and maintain active license.
• One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Follow occupational therapy treatment plans under supervising OT.
• Chart appropriately and timely.
• Utilize therapy software and documentation tools.
• Provide excellent customer service and professional behavior with patients.
• Assist in evacuation of patients as needed.
• Demonstrate sound judgment and independent decision-making.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and communicate patient needs.
• Maintain patient rights and safety, including confidentiality.
• Adhere to policies and code of conduct.
