Job summary

Brushy Creek Post Acute in Greer, SC is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Working under a licensed OT, you will help residents improve function, independence, and quality of life through individualized therapy plans.

You’ll join a 144-bed skilled nursing campus with cottage-style homes, a supportive therapy team, flexible PRN shifts, and opportunities within the post-acute care network.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Experience with clinical documentation and therapy software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living to improve independence.

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will assist residents in improving function, increasing independence, and enhancing quality of life through individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Assist residents in improving performance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Implement treatment plans and therapeutic interventions designed to improve functional independence
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist
• Document treatments, resident responses, and progress accurately and timely
• Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
• Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy team members, physicians, residents, and families
• Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as appropriate
• Follow all facility policies, state regulations, and professional practice standards

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
• Ability to quickly learn facility software and documentation systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Licenses & Certifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license/certification in South Carolina
• Must maintain all required continuing education requirements
• Must remain in good standing with the applicable State Board
