Job summary

Powdersville Post Acute is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis in Easley, SC. Under supervision of a licensed OT, you will deliver therapeutic interventions to help residents improve function, independence, and quality of life.

The role requires graduation from an accredited COTA program and an active SC COTA license, with experience in SNF/rehab preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current South Carolina COTA license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Follow physician orders and individualized treatment plans.
• Document daily treatment notes, progress notes, and other required therapy records.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team.
• Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education.
• Train restorative aides and collaborate with nursing staff as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
• Maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas.
• Report equipment issues and safety concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with state practice acts, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and team members.

• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
