Job summary

Brushy Creek Post Acute in Greer, SC is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for PRN coverage. You will support residents under the supervising OT, focusing on improving independence and quality of life through individualized therapy plans.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree in OT and have PN/long-term care exposure, with comfort using PCC and Casamba. Join a warm campus and dedicated rehab team delivering patient-centered care.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
  • Experience with PCC and Casamba preferred; ability to quickly learn facility software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising OT.
  • Assist residents in improving performance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
  • Document treatments, resident responses, and progress accurately and timely.
  • Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy team members, physicians, residents, and families.

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will assist residents in improving function, increasing independence, and enhancing quality of life through individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide occupational therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Assist residents in improving performance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Implement treatment plans and therapeutic interventions designed to improve functional independenceMonitor resident progress and communicate updates to the Occupational Therapist
  • Document treatments, resident responses, and progress accurately and timely
  • Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
  • Collaborate with nursing staff, therapy team members, physicians, residents, and families
  • Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions as appropriate
  • Follow all facility policies, state regulations, and professional practice standards
Qualifications Education & Experience
  • Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
  • Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
  • Ability to quickly learn facility software and documentation systems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Licenses & Certifications
  • Current Occupational Therapy Assistant license/certification in South Carolina
  • Must maintain all required continuing education requirements
  • Must remain in good standing with the applicable State Board
