Job summary

Desert Springs Post Acute, soon to be Willow Springs Healthcare Center, is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team in Riverside County, CA. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA implements treatment plans designed to help residents improve daily living activities, independence, and safe function.

We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities with competitive pay ($34-$42 per hour DOE), flexible

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current California COTA license in good standing.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a therapy team.
• Passion for helping residents achieve independence.

Responsibilities

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans established by the supervising OT.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) to improve independence.
• Provide therapeutic exercises to improve strength, balance, and coordination.
• Monitor progress and communicate observations to the supervising OT.
• Document treatments, progress notes, and resident responses accurately.
• Educate residents and caregivers on therapy techniques and safety strategies.
• Collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation teams to optimize outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and professional standards.
