Job summary

Midtown Oaks Post Acute in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our compassionate team. You will provide therapy under the supervision of an OT and help residents regain daily living skills.

We offer competitive pay of $45–$50 per hour, a flexible part-time schedule option, and a supportive interdisciplinary team with modern therapy programs. California licensure required, and prior post-acute experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current California COTA license is required.
• Graduate of an accredited OTA program.
• Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Assist patients in improving functional mobility and independence with daily activities.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic exercises.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately.
• Communicate effectively with therapists, nursing staff, physicians, residents, and families.
• Support discharge planning and continuity of care.
• Maintain compliance with all facility, state, and federal regulations.
