Job summary

Jurupa Hills Post Acute in Riverside, CA is seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will work closely with an Occupational Therapist to help residents regain independence and improve daily living skills in a post-acute setting.

The role requires CA COTA licensure, a strong communication style, and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current California Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Skilled nursing facility (SNF), post-acute, or rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out occupational therapy treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve residents' daily living skills, mobility, strength, coordination, and functional independence.
• Accurately document treatment sessions, resident progress, and outcomes.
• Communicate resident status and treatment updates with the therapy team and interdisciplinary staff.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment.
• Assist with discharge planning and caregiver education as directed.
