Job summary

Adelbrook is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support children, adolescents, and young adults with ASD/IDD. Under supervision of an OT, you will implement treatment plans and promote functional independence across residential, educational, and community settings.

The role requires CT licensure/ eligibility, NBCOT certification, and commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered care. On-site duties include collaboration with families and educational teams.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with families and teams.
• Experience documenting progress and outcomes in clinical records.
• Knowledge of OT principles as applied to ASD/IDD and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

• Carry out prescribed treatment interventions designed by the supervising OT.
• Assist individuals in developing skills for self-care, motor coordination, and daily living.
• Document services and progress toward treatment goals accurately and timely.
• Submit recommendations for OT equipment needs and place orders per procedure.
• Collaborate with staff and families to integrate OT strategies at home, school, and residential settings.
• Complete all required documentation including PPTs, IEPs, and screenings reports.
