Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide occupational therapy services under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. You will assist patients with daily living activities and therapeutic tasks to improve independence and functional abilities.

The role requires an OTA credential and current state licensure, with previous clinical experience preferred. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, documenting progress and ensuring safety and quality

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Current COTA license or certification in the applicable state.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment according to the OT's plan of care.
• Assist patients with ADLs and functional tasks.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, coordination, and mobility.
• Assist with fine motor, cognitive, and sensory activities as appropriate.
• Monitor patient response and progress during treatment.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, adaptive techniques, and safety.
• Recommend and assist with appropriate adaptive equipment as directed.
• Report patient progress and changes in condition to the OT.
• Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.
• Follow patient safety, infection control, and professional standards.
