Job summary

Mercy seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to assist with patient assessment, implement treatment plans, and document progress in accordance with department policies in a hospital setting in Ferguson, MO.

You must be a graduate of an accredited OTA program, hold a current OTA license or be eligible for licensure, and maintain BLS certification. One year of experience is preferred, though new graduates will be considered. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits to eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for licensure.
• One year experience preferred but new graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessment and documentation of progress.
• Administer modalities and treatment procedures per department policies.
• Maintain progress notes and department records.
• Promote education within the department.
• Demonstrate knowledge of care for neonatal to geriatric age groups.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by supervisor.
