Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide therapy under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will implement treatment plans, document patient progress, and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure patient-centered care.

Qualified candidates hold a valid COTA license, have experience in long-term or geriatric care, and demonstrate professionalism and punctuality in scheduled hours.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of Occupational Therapist
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the OT
• Provide treatment by adhering to goals developed by the OT
• Give feedback to supervising OT via documentation or other required methods
