Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide treatment under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The role emphasizes collaboration with the care team, accurate documentation, and timely progress notes.

The successful candidate will have a valid license/registration and experience in geriatric or long-term care settings, with strong patient service skills and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Must have valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress note in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the OT.
• Provide treatment by adhering to specific goals developed by the OT.
• Document patient progress on weekly progress notes.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient-centered care.
• Report to work on time and maintain professionalism.
• Perform duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
