Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support patient care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The COTA will deliver treatment aligned with OT goals and maintain timely documentation of progress.

The role emphasizes collaboration with multiple disciplines to ensure patient-centered outcomes in a long-term care setting, with punctual attendance and professionalism expected at all times.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.
• Well versed with documentation writing.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide treatment by adhering to specific goals developed by the OT.
• Provide feedback to the supervising occupational therapist via documentation or other facility processes.
• Document patient progress weekly in progress notes.
• Report to work on time and adhere to scheduled hours.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
