Job summary

Palmetto Subacute Care Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide patient-centered therapy under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. The role emphasizes adherence to treatment goals, timely documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a geriatric long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid professional license and registration for the state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of OT.
• Experience in long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.
• Strong documentation-writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out best practice treatments under supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide treatment aligned with goals developed by OT and document progress.
• Communicate patient progress and treatment via required documentation.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to deliver patient-centered care.
• Report to work on time and maintain professional conduct.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.
