Job summary

Independence Rehab is seeking a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the Spring Creek Healthcare Center therapy team in Millcreek, UT. You will support residents through rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term care, helping them regain function and independence.

You'll collaborate with a skilled OT and interdisciplinary team, perform transfers, provide ADL retraining, and participate in ongoing competency training.

Qualifications

• Current Utah Occupational Therapy Assistant license in good standing.
• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Organized, self-motivated, and patient-focused.
• Passion for working with the geriatric population.
• One year of SNF experience preferred, but newer clinicians with strong interest in geriatrics are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support residents through rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term care to achieve meaningful progress and improved quality of life.
• Treat a diverse caseload, including occasionally clinically complex patients.
• Perform and assist with all types of transfers.
• Provide adaptive ADL retraining and functional task practice.
• Collaborate closely with the evaluating OT and interdisciplinary care team.
• Competency training is available to support growth in these areas.
